To provide remote technical support to Sun customers by resolving the technical
issues that they may encounter when using Solaris OS.
This position requires working from Sun offices in Velizy near Paris.
Candidates must be able to speak, read & write French and English fluently. |

Major Activities/Responsibilities:
---------------------------------
- Provide post-sales remote support to Sun customers - resolution of incidents over the phone or via remote connexion, when possible
- Define action plans aimed at fixing problems within contractual delays, while minimizing cost and resources to Sun
- Keep customers and other parties constantly informed of the evolution of incidents
- Keep ownership of incidents until resolution.
- Follow Sun's standard procedures aka GRSD to handle and document incidents in the call management system
- Raise escalations ( management or technical ) when required
- Provide help and collaborate with Sun partners working in the TSC-P organisation
- Contribute to increasing Sun's knowledge database by capturing useful experiences
- Work at customers sites, when required by the context
- Liaise with TSC Systems engineers and participate to cross-country initiatives when required
- Working during nights is not required but applicants will work on week-ends on a rotations basis.
Required Knowledge and Skills:

- Demonstrated Solaris 10 knowledge - Certification would be a plus
- Successful previous 2+ years professional experience in a pre or post-sales technical position
- Analytical skills and problem-solving attitude
- Ability to cope with multiple tasks in parallel
- Act as a team player. Able to formally and informally liaise with colleagues, with backline and with any person of the organisation
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Candidates must be very motivated to join the TSC Systems team. They must be able to learn quickly by taking advantage of the training opportunities available: instructor-lead, web-based, self-study, TOI, learn from peers, ...
Education:

Degree in Computer Science, Science University degree or demonstrated experience within the computer industry.
