The role is within the EMEA Market Development team, supporting their activities in working with commercial development partner communities to drive the adoption of Sun technologies, the development of new markets and delivery of incremental
revenue.
The job will entail working with members of the EMEA MD organisation located across Europe, working on programs and activities which support the goals and objectives of Market Development.

The key responsibilities of the role will be to support the team's focus across EMEA in driving specific Sun Partner Advantage (SPA) http://www.sun.com/partners/ and Sun Start-Up Essentials (SSE)
http://www.sun.com/emrkt/startupessentials/index.jsp activities. The intern will work within the team on the creation, development and execution of specific programs.
In addition to SPA and SSE related work,the intern will be responsible for operational reporting activities within the MD EMEA organisation.
This is a wide ranging role with interaction with all levels, both within Sun and the community groups. The successful candidate will need to be able to work within a matrix management environment and across different cultures both within
EMEA and globally.
Experience / Skills Required

- STRONG Program management skills
- Degree in Communications and/or Marketing appreciated
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English
- Other language skills desired (such as: French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian)
- Data analysis skills
- Organizational skills
- Autonomy and independence: Self starter
- Knowledge of Startup communities
- Knowledge of IT industry
- Knowledge of software vendors, a plus
- Office tools
Qualifications
